History

The Glens Falls Country Club is a private, member-owned country club with over 300 members, located in Queensbury, NY.  The club is filled with a rich history and fond memories and after more than ten decades, continues to provide its members and guests with exceptional service and a friendly atmosphere.  We are fortunate and grateful to be considered one of the most prestigious clubs and among the finest golf courses in the northeast.  We constantly strive to exceed the highest standards for excellence.

For over 100 years ago Glens Falls Country Club has been providing a premier golf experience for golfers of all capabilities. Designer Donald Ross, has created a true masterpiece destined to test all who dare to play its challenging holes while providing opportuniities for relaxing, friendly golf in a breathtaking setting.

Ride or walk the paths traveled by many of the great golf legends during the Glens Falls Open, a PGA tour stop from 1929 to 1939. Play the same shots that challenged the likes of Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Gene Sarazen, and Walter Hagen. Their stories have joined the lore of the Glens Falls Country Club.

With consistently superb conditions, we marvel at the best course drainage of likely any golf course in New York State.  After an hour of heavy rain the course will yield to play in under an hour; some say it’s a miracle.  Seek comfort at the Well or head inside our spacious Clubhouse to wait it out.

Any way you look at it, golf at Glens Falls is a true test and a thrilling experience for golfers of all levels. Supported by our Pro Shop, a Driving Range with Bunker, a Practice Hole (old #16), and two Putting Greens, your game can improve to whatever goals you wish to set.
