The partnership brings new incentives and exciting opportunities for Amateur Series players in 2018. The series-long points list will now not only qualify the top finishers for the year championship, but will also enter qualifying players for a chance to win one of two, five (5) night golf getaway packages to St. Kitts & Nevis for the 2019 Admiral’s Cup Am-Am event in February.

“We are thrilled to present this partnership and group travel opportunity for our membership,” said Andrew Hickey, Assistant Executive Director. “We have been researching possible NYSGA winter trips for years, and it quickly became apparent that St. Kitts was the perfect fit. They are an emerging destination with incredible resorts and golf courses, in one of the most picturesque areas of the world. I can't wait to lead our group to St. Kitts this winter!"

Throughout the 28-event series, information on the Admirals Cup and other special events on St. Kitts and Nevis will be available, with opportunities for players interested in traveling with the NYSGA to the 2019 Admiral’s Cup.

“It’s a perfect opportunity for our members to escape winter in New York and make some lasting golfing memories together,” said Dan Thompson, Director of Marketing & Partnerships. “The Amateur Series will serve as a perfect platform to build excitement for the trip and provide additional incentives for NYSGA event participants.”

“We are very pleased to partner with the NYSGA,” said Racquel Brown, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority. “By working together, it allows us to build awareness for the destination as a premier choice for leisure travel among more potential visitors who align with our target geographic and demographic markets.”

About the Admiral’s Cup

The St. Kitts & Nevis Admirals Cup is the destination's premier event for visiting golfers. Played annually in early February, the Admiral’s Cup is a five-day team tournament featuring two options for entry.  Teams entering the Pro-Am Division are comprised of a PGA Club Professional and three amateurs. In 2018, an Am-Am Division was introduced, featuring teams of two amateurs competing against one another using a Best Ball Stableford format and the same course rotation as the Pro-Am Division.  Since 2011, teams from golf clubs across the U.S., Canada, UK and the Caribbean have competed for the Cup.  The St. Kitts & Nevis Admirals Cup is the only golf event of its kind with tournament rounds contested simultaneously on two different Caribbean islands.
