JAMESVILLE, N.Y. -- The New York State Golf Association Foundation (501c3) is now accepting scholarship applicants for the 2020-21 academic year.

The Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to students pursuing an undergraduate or masters degree, and currently working in golf operations at an NYSGA member club (pro shop, bag room, caddie, or golf course maintenance). Applicants are selected based on their GPA and financial need.

The fund has awarded over $300,000 in college scholarships and grants supporting junior golf in New York State since 2009. These students are united by their impressive academic achievements, financial need, and passion for golf.

“This scholarship has helped me tremendously as it has allowed me to focus on my academic and athletic performance at the collegiate level… I am incredibly thankful for all the NYSGA has done for me,” mentioned a current recipient, Pasqualina Tartaglione.

All students who fit the criteria above are encouraged to apply here. This year’s application deadline is Friday, July 17th.

“It’s been inspiring to hear stories about how the scholarship has impacted past recipients, and has really motivated us to improve our fundraising efforts,” said Kara Cushman, NYSGA Foundation Manager. “Our foundation’s impact would not be possible without the generosity of association members to help us fund these valuable programs.”
