2018 N.Y.S. Men's Amateur & Sr. Amateur Four-Ball Championship

Open to male amateur golfers who are members of the NYSGA, either by membership at an NYSGA member club or by joining directly as an 2018 NYSGA eClub member, with an active and updated USGA Handicap Index.
There are two divisions competing concurrently in this championship: the Amateur (all ages) and Senior Amateur (55+) divisions. There are no age resitrictions in the Amateur division, while to compete in the Senior Amateur divison both members of the team must be at least 55 years of age as of May 20, 2018.
Field Size and Wait List
The field is limited to a total of 54 teams, with 26 teams in the Amateur and Senior Amateur divisions. If more entries are recieved than spots available for either division, the field will be determined by each team's combined Handicap Index as of the May 1st revision date.
Entry Fee, Entry Close Date, and Refund Policy
The entry fee of $325 per team must be recieved prior to the entry deadline of 5:00pm on Friday, May 4, 2018. No entries will be accepted after this deadline. A refund, less a $15 service fee, will be issued if notice is received prior to the close of entries. No refunds will be issued after the close of entries unless the withdrawal is due to illness, injury, or family emergency (documentation may be required.
Rules, Format and Schedule of Events
The Rules as approved by the United States Golf Association (USGA) govern play. Additional Local Rules and Conditions will be stated in the championship's Notice to Players, which will be provided prior to the start of the first round.
The format of this championship is 36 holes at four-ball stroke play. The USGA defines this format of play as follows:“A competition in which two competitors play as partners, each playing his own ball. The lower score of the partners is the score for the hole. If one partner fails to complete the play of a hole, there is no penalty.
The team in each division with the lowest score after 36 holes will be the division winner. In the case of a tie for either championship division, a hole-by-hole playoff will be used to determine the winner. The playoff will use holes #6, #17, #18.

Code of Conduct
Players must conduct themselves appropriately during all stages of this competition. If the NYSGA committee observes or learns of any action(s) that breach this standard, the player may be subject to disciplinary action, including possible disqualification.
