2017 NYSGA Amateur Series - Wolferts Roost

Entry is open to male and female amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:
- Membership: All players must be a member of the NYSGA, as defined by belonging to an NYSGA Member Club or having joined as a 2017 NYSGA eClub Member.
- Handicap: To compete for net prizes and points for the NYSGA Amateur Series Championship, players must have an active, up-to-date Handicap Index®, issued by a golf club that is licensed to use the USGA Handicap System™. A player who does not meet this requirement will only be eligible to compete for gross prizes.
- Age: There are no age restrictions for this tournament.
A player may register to compete in one of the following divisions: Men's Division (all ages), Men's Senior Division (ages 55+), or the Women's Division. Players within these divisions will compete for net and gross prizes, as well as for points towards the 2017 NYSGA Amateur Series Championship to be held at Shenendoah GC.
Players in each division will be placed into roughly equal sized flights based on players’ handicap index as of the tournament’s entry deadline. The number of flights will be determined by the number of players in each division as follows: 5-19 players (1 flight), 20-38 players (2 flights), 39+ players (3 flights).
FORMAT & RULES
The format of this tournament is 18 holes of individual stroke play (gross and net scores). The USGA Rules of Golf govern play, except as modified in the NYSGA Hard Card.
A player will receive 100% of their Course Handicap. Players who wish to compete for net prizes are required to have an active, up-to-date Handicap Index from a USGA licensed golf club. The NYSGA has defined an "up-to-date" Handicap Index as having posted five 18-hole scores in the previous three active posting months.
The following tees have been assigned to each division: Men's Flights - Blue Tees (6177 Yards), Men's Senior Flights - White Tees (5863 Yards), and Women's Division - Red Tees (5241 Yards).
The field is limited to the first 80 players to register. Those who register after the field has reached its capacity will be added to a wait list in the order that their entry is received.
