2017 NYSGA Amateur Series (Team) - Wolferts Roost

Entry is open to teams of two(2) male and/or female amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:
- Membership: All players must be a member of the NYSGA, as defined by belonging to an NYSGA Member Club or having joined as a 2017 NYSGA eClub Member.
- Handicap: To compete for net prizes and invitations into the NYSGA Team Amateur Series Championship, players must have an active, up-to-date Handicap Index®, issued by a golf club that is licensed to use the USGA Handicap System™. A player who does not meet this requirement will only be eligible to compete for gross prizes.
- Age: There are no age restrictions for this tournament.
Teams may register to compete in one of the following divisions: Men's A Division, Men's B Division, Mixed Division, or the Women's Division. Teams within these divisions will compete for net and gross prizes, and flight champions will earn invitations to compete in the 2017 NYSGA Team Amateur Series Championship at Turning Stone's Kaluhyat GC on September 29, 2017.
Teams in each division will be placed into roughly equal sized flights based on the teams adjusted course handicap index and the total number of teams in the division. A minimum of 4 teams are required to create a flight.
FORMAT & RULES
The format of this tournament is 18 holes of four ball (best ball) stroke play (gross and net scores). The USGA Rules of Golf govern play, except as modified in the NYSGA Hard Card.
Men will receive 90% of their Course Handicap and women will receive 95% of their Course Handicap. If the difference in course handicap of the two members of the side exceeds eight strokes, an additional 10% reduction of course handicap will be applied to both team members. Teams who wish to compete for net prizes and invitations to the Team Amateur Series Championship are required to have an active, up-to-date Handicap Index from a USGA licensed golf club. The NYSGA has defined an "up-to-date" Handicap Index as having posted five 18-hole scores in the previous three active posting months.
The following tees have been assigned to each division: Men's A Division - Blue Tees (6,177 Yards), Men's B Division - White Tees (5,863 Yards), Mixed Division (Men-Blue, Women-Red) and Women's Division - Red Tees (5,241 Yards).
The field is limited to the first 40 Teams to register. Those who register after the field has reached its capacity will be added to a wait list in the order that their entry is received.
