Eligibility

To be eligible to compete in this Championship, an entrant must:

Conform to the USGA's "Rules of Amateur Status",
Be a member in good standing at a NYSGA Member Club or be a 2012 NYSGA Associate Member with their primary residence in New York state, and,
Have an up-to-date Handicap Index from a golf club licensed to use the USGA Handicapping System.

Mid-Amateur Championship

In addition to meeting the requirements stated above, players will be eligible to compete in the Mid-Amateur Championship if they are 25 years of age or older on July 10, 2012. Entrants in the Mid-Amateur Division compete in the Amateur and Mid-Amateur Divisions concurrently, and thus may win both Championships.

Format

The format of the 2012 NYS Women's Amateur & Mid-Amateur Championship is 54 holes of stroke play. The player with the lowest 54 hole score in each Division (Amateur & Mid-Amateur) will be the Champion. If a tie exists at the end of 54 holes, a sudden-death playoff will be used to determine the Champion.

Schedule of Events

The tentative schedule of events has been set as follows:

Monday, July 9
	9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.	Player Registration - Seneca Falls Country Club
	9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.	Practice Round (players only). Call pro shop to schedule tee time.
Tuesday, July 10
	7:30 a.m. - 9:27 a.m.	Round 1 - 18 Holes. Play will begin off the 1st and 10th tees.
	12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.	Contestant Lunch. Guest tickets will be available (price TBD).
Wednesday, July 11
	8:00 a.m. - 9:57 a.m..	Round 2 - 18 Holes. Play will begin off the 1st and 10th tees.
	12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.	Contestant Lunch. Guest tickets will be available (price TBD).
	After Round 2, the field will be cut to the 40 lowestscores and ties or anyone within 10 strokes of the leader in either Championship.
Thursday, July 12
	8:00 a.m. - 10:06 a.m.	Round 3 - 18 Holes. Play will begin off the 1st tee.
	A playoff, if necessary, will immediately follow the conclusion of play.
	12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.	Contestant Lunch. Guest tickets will be available (price TBD).
	3:30 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.	Award ceremony to immediately follow conclusion of play

Daily Rate: $89.99 + state and local taxes

In order to receive the group rates, advise the hotel that you are a New York State Golf Association participant. Reservations must be made directly with the hotel and will require a credit card to guarantee your reservation. If you must cancel your reservation please do so at least 24 hours prior to your check in date to avoid being charged for the room.
