83rd NYS Women's Amateur & Mid-Amateur Championship

Eligibility                                                                                                  

To be eligible to compete in this Championship, an entrant must:

1. Conform to the USGA's "Rules of Amateur Status",
2. Be a member in good standing at a NYSGA Member Club or be an active NYSGA Associate Member with their primary residence in New York state, and,
3. Have an up-to-date Handicap Index from a golf club licensed to use the USGA Handicapping System.
   

Mid-Amateur Championship                                                                         

In addition to meeting the requirements stated above, players will be eligible to compete in the Mid-Amateur Division if they are 25 years of age or older on July 10, 2012. Entrants in the Mid-Amateur Division compete in the Amateur and Mid-Amateur Amateur Divisions concurrently, and thus may win both Championships.

Format                                                                                                     
The format of the 2012 NYS Women's Amateur & Mid-Amateur Championship is 54 holes of stroke play. The player with the lowest 54 hole score in each Division will be the Champion. If a tie exists at the end of 54 holes, a sudden-death playoff will be used to determine the Champion.

Schedule of Events                                                                                    

Monday, July 9
	9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.		Player Registration - Seneca Falls CC Pro Shop
	9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.		Practice Round (players only). Call pro shop to schedule tee time.
Tuesday, July 10
	7:30 a.m. - 9:27 a.m.		Round 1 - 18 Holes. Play will begin off the 1st and 10th tees
	6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.		Contestant Dinner. Guest tickets for dinner will be available at a price TDB.
Wednesday, July 11
	8:00 a.m. - 10:24 a.m.		Round 2 - 18 Holes. Play will begin off the 1st and 10th tees.
	After Round 2, the field will be cut to the 40 lowest scores and ties                           or anyone within 10 strokes of the leader in either Championship.
Thursday, July 12
	8:00 a.m. - 10:24 a.m		Round 3 - 18 Holes. Play will begin off the 1st tee only.
	A play-off, if necessary, will immediately following conclusion of play.
	3:30 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.		Prize presentation ceremony to immediately follow the conclusion of play.

In order to receive the group rates, advise the hotel that you are a New York State Golf Association participant. Reservations must be made directly with the hotel and will require a credit card to guarantee your reservation. If you must cancel your reservation please do so at least 24 hours prior to your check in date to avoid being charged for the room.
