State Days Tournament Overview
The NYSGA's State Days Tournaments are handicapped golf tournaments, open to all NYSGA members. Administered by NYSGA staff and volunteers, the State Days provide tournament experience for players of all abilities!
Format of Play & Rules
The State Days are 18-hole individual stroke play tournaments. Contestants MUST play by the Rules of Golf and finish every hole (no gimmies!).
Flights
Players compete in flights created based on gender, course handicap and age (senior flights). Flight distribution is not consistent per tournament as a result of differing field sizes and makeup.
Prizes and the Money List: The State Days Championship
At the conclusion of each State Days tournament, prizes in the form of gift certificates to the host club pro shop will be awarded to the top finishers of each flight (net and gross). The amount of gift certificates awarded throughout the year will be tracked to form a State Days Money List. The top 120 players at year end on the Money List will receive an invitation to compete in the State Days Championship at Yahnundasis GC. A full description of the State Days Money List and Championship will be posted soon.
Registration
Players may register online or by mailing a completed entry form and payment to the NYSGA office. All entries must be received before the tournament entry close date. Registration opens March 1, 2012.
