Eligibility

To be eligible to compete in this Championship, an entrant must:

Be a minimum of 55 years of age (as of September 19, 2012),Conform to the USGA's "Rules of Amateur Status",
Be a member in good standing at a NYSGA Member Club or be a 2012 NYSGA Associate Member with their primary residence in New York state, and,
Have an up-to-date Handicap Index from a golf club licensed to use the USGA Handicapping System.

The field will be limited to 132 players. If more than 132 players apply, the 132 players with the lowest Handicap Indexes as of the entry close date will be eligible. Any player not eligible due to oversubscription will be refunded the full entry fee.

Super Senior Amateur Championship

In addition to meeting the requirements stated above, players will be eligible to compete in the Super Senior Amateur Championship if they are 65 years of age or older on September 19, 2012. Entrants in the Super Senior Division compete in the Senior and Super Senior Divisions concurrently, and thus may win both Championships.

Age Divisions

Players will also be competing in the following Age Divisions for prizes (gross only):

55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 +

Format

The format of both Championships is 54 holes of stroke play. The player with the lowest 54 hole score in each Division (Senior and Super Senior) will be the Champion. If a tie exists at the end of 54 holes, a sudden-death playoff will be used to determine the Champion.

The tentative schedule of events has been set as follows:

Tuesday, September 18
	9:00 am - 3:00 pm	Player Registration - Wolferts Roost Country Club
	9:30 am - 1:30 pm	Practice Round (players only). Call pro shop to schedule tee time
	6:00 pm - 8:30 pm	Contestant Dinner. Guest tickets for dinner available. Price TDB
Wednesday, September 19
	8:00 am - 9:30 am	Round 1 - 18 Holes. Morning round for 66 players - 1st and 10th tees
	12:15 pm - 1:30 pm	Round 1 - 18 Holes. Afternoon round for 66 players - 1st and 10th tees
Thursday, September 20
	8:00 am - 9:30 am	Round 2 - 18 Holes. Morning round for 66 players - 1st and 10th tees
	12:15 pm - 1:30 pm	Round 2 - 18 Holes. Afternoon round for 66 players - 1st and 10th tees
	After Round 2, each Age Division will be cut to the low 50% and ties and anyone within 10 strokes of the lead in their respective Championship Division
Friday, September 21
	8:00 am - 9:30 am	Round 3 - 18 Holes. Play will begin off the 1st and 10th tees
	A playoff, if necessary, will immediately follow the conclusion of play
	3:30 pm - 3:45 pm	Awards ceremony to immediately follow the conclusion of play

In order to receive the group rates, advise the hotel that you are a New York State Golf Association participant. Reservations must be made directly with the hotel and will require a credit card to guarantee your reservation. If you must cancel your reservation please do so at least 24 hours prior to your check in date to avoid being charged for the room.
