The NYSGA, in collaboration with the BDGA, RDGA, SDGA, and USGA, offers free, introductory Rules of Golf Seminars for anyone interested interested in attending.

Registration for each seminar starts at 9:00am and the instruction begins at 9:30am and will conclude at 12:00pm. Several breaks will be incorporated throughout the session.

Sat, March 28 - Locust Hill CC (Rochester)
Sat, April 4 - Transit Valley CC (Buffalo)
Sat, April 11 - Bellevue CC (Syracuse)
Sat, April 25 - Mohawk GC (Albany)

Rules Covered

In 2015, the instructors will cover Rule 13 (Ball Played as it Lies) and Rule 20 (Lifting, Dropping and Placing; Playing from a Wrong Place).

What is Provided to Attendees

Each person in attendance will be given a Rules of Golf book, provided free of charge by the USGA. Included with the book will be a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of several copies of the Decisions on the Rules of Golf or Golf Rules Illustrated

Complimentary pastries and beverages (coffee, tea, fruit juices, soft drinks, water) will be provided at each seminar starting at 9:00am.

Your Rules Questions

During breaks and at the end of the seminar, we will make time available for the attendees to ask any questions that pertain to the Rules of Golf. Due to the briefness of the seminar, we ask that you hold your questions until this time so that we ensure that all the intended material is presented.

How to Register

You can register for a Rules Seminar the same way you would register for a tournament. Click on the Register button on the left side of the screen and either create an account or log into your existing one. Call the NYSGA at (315) 471-6979 if you have any questions.
