NYSGA Presidents Message
Welcome to the official website of the New York State Golf Association. We hope you will be as enthusiastic about our new format as we are.
You can find information about the association and our volunteer “Committee” people, as well as the “Staff” ready to serve you. There are connections to Bill Moore, Executive Director, who coordinates all of the operations; Scott Gerbereux, Director of Handicapping and Club Services; and, Al Stockholm, Director of Course Rating and Measuring.
The “Championships” page offers not only the upcoming schedule, online registration, or, entry forms for downloading, but also results of past championships. Pairings for upcoming events will be posted on the web as soon as entries close. During the Championships, there will be real-time scoring on line for interested fans who cannot be at the tournament.
“Handicap Services” has a wealth of information, including details about our Regional State Days Tournaments open to all with an active GHIN handicap index.
“eClubs” provide a way for a player to acquire an official USGA handicap index if not a member of a “club”.
“Club Services” includes information on club licensing mandated by the USGA. Also on this page is the State Medallion Tournament; an NYSGA event conducted at your own club.
“Membership” offers you the opportunity to become an Associate Member of the NYSGA, as well as information on Member Clubs.
For students who are New York State residents; we offer scholarships to those enrolled in golf-related college or university programs whether that college/university is a New York school, or, out-of-state. Click on “Scholarship Program” for information and applications.
Also note the Golf Links tab on the right side of the home page; it gives you quick access to a variety of interesting golf sites.
