Sunday Qualifier
The Sunday Qualifier is open to any player who missed the entry deadline and meets the stated eligibility requirements as provided below. A player may not register for this qualifier if they have competed in or withdrawn from any 2013 NYS Men's Amateur Championship qualifier.
The format of the Sunday Qualifier is 18 holes of stroke play. The number of qualifying spots available (4-12) will be allocated once entries close on Friday, July 19 and will be determined as a function of the current championship field size and the number of qualifiers registered. The field will be limited to the first 60 players to register. Tee times will begin at 12:00pm on Sunday, July 21 at Colonie G&CC.
Eligibility Requirements
Entry is open to any male amateur golfer that meets the following requirements: 1. Membership: New York residents must be a member of a NYSGA member club or belong to the NYSGA as an Associate Member. Non-residents of New York must be a member of a Type 1 NYSGA member club. 2. Handicap: Entrants must have an active USGA Handicap Index (no limit specified).
Entry Fee
The entry fee to qualify for this championship is $100-$120 (the fee for the qualifier at Ballston Spa, which is held on a Sunday, is $120). All players advancing through the qualifying stage will be required to pay an additional championship fee of $50. The entry fee for players exempt from qualifying is $150.
Entry Deadline and Refund Policy
All entries must be submitted to the NYSGA by 5:00pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Entries received by telephone, fax or email will not be accepted. Late and/or incomplete entries will not be accepted. If a player withdraws from the tournament prior to the entry deadline, their entry will be refunded less a $10 service fee. After the entry deadline passes and up to 24 hours prior to the qualifier, an entry will be refunded if a player withdraws less a $50 fee. No refunds will be provided for a player who withdraws within 24 hours of their assigned qualifier start time.
Format and Schedule
The competition will be conducted in two stages, at stroke play:
1. Local Qualifying: 18 holes, for all non-exempt entrants. 2. Championship Rounds: 72 holes with a cut after 36 holes to low 40 and ties.

The lowest scorer after 72 holes will be the Champion. A tie for the championship will be played off immediately, hole by hole, until a champion is determined.

Golf Carts
The golf cart policy for this championship is as follows: 1. Qualifying - The use of golf carts during sectional qualifying rounds is permitted. 2. Championship - The use of golf carts is prohibited during the championship unless authorized by the Committee. Carts will be allowed for Monday's practice round.
Conditions and Schedules
The NYSGA reserves the right to amend or alter any of the conditions, provisions, or schedules included in the championship's entry. The decision of the NYSGA in any matter pertaining to the playing of this championship shall be final.
Refund Policy
An entry fee will be refunded, less a $10 service fee, if notice of withdrawal is provided in writing prior to the close of entries. After this time and up to 24 hours prior to the tournament start, 50% of the entry fee will be refunded. Within 24 hours of a tournament's start no refund will be provided unless there is a document case of illness, injury or family emergency.
