50th NYS Girls Junior Amateur Championship

Mark Twain Golf Course • Elmira, NY • August 7-8, 2012

 

Eligibility                                                                                                                           

To be eligible to compete in this Championship, an entrant must:

1. Conform to the USGA's "Rules of Amateur Status", and
2. Be a resident of New York state or a member in good standing at a NYSGA Member Club.

Age Requirements                                                                                                             

Entrants must be 17 years old or younger on August 8, 2012 to compete in this Championship.

Format                                                                                                                               

The format of this Championship is 36 holes of stroke play. The player with the lowest 36 hole score will be the Champion. If a tie exists at the end of 54 holes, a sudden-death playoff will be used to determine the Champion.

Schedule of Events                                                                                                          

Monday, August 6
	9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.		Player Registration - Mark Twain Golf Course
	9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.		Practice Round (players only). Call pro shop to schedule tee time.
	5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.		Contestant Dinner. Guest tickets for dinner will be available at a price TDB.
Tuesday, August 7
	7:30 a.m. - 9:27 a.m.		Round 1 - 18 Holes. Play will begin off the 1st tee.
Wednesday, August 8
	7:30 a.m. - 9:27 a.m.		Round 2 - 18 Holes. Play will begin off the 10th tee.
			A play-off, if necessary, will immediately following conclusion of play.
	2:15 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.		Prize presentation ceremony to immediately follow the conclusion of play.

In order to receive the group rates, advise the hotel that you are a New York State Golf Association participant. Reservations must be made directly with the hotel and will require a credit card to guarantee your reservation. If you must cancel your reservation please do so at least 24 hours prior to your check in date to avoid being charged for the room.
